New Uberti 1873 Single Action: Teddy Roosevelt led a charmed life before, during, and after his time as the 26th President of the United States. As a young man, he spent time as a cowboy in the Dakota Territory hunting buffalo and running a ranch. Later on, he served as New York City’s police commissioner and then Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Navy, before forming and leading the First U.S. Volunteer Cavalry Regiment better known as “The Rough Riders” in the Spanish-American War. His reputation and exploits gained even more public attention as he became further involved in American politics. In one famous instance, he was shot while delivering a speech, and true to his character finished the speech before seeking medical attention.
In honor of this larger than life figure, Uberti produced the “Teddy.” This timelessly classic handgun was heavily inspired by Roosevelt’s own personal sidearm; an ivory handled Colt revolver. The Teddy features an ivory-styled grip, polished nickel plating, and sports fine engravings on the frame, cylinder, and barrel.
